Nest @ GlobalFact9

After three years of virtual “gatherings“ global fact-checkers’ biggest event of the year, Global Fact 9 took place June 22-25, 2022, at the Oslo Metropolitan University’s City Center Campus in Oslo, Norway. Nest’s Mongolian Fact-checking Center attended the event for knowledge and wisdom to better serve its community and to meet in-person with its fact-checking family.

During the four-day summit, which was attended by almost 700 members of the global fact-checking community, partners in the fight against misinformation, including signatories of the IFCN from more than 60 nations, worked together to exchange best practices and incite fruitful discussion.

During the event, Mongolian Fact-checking Center’s Aminaa Unenbat and Dulamkhorloo Baatar had a chance to share their experience.

One of the key takeaways of the Global Fact 9 was that taking proactive actions to combat misinformation has become more important than ever amid the times of crises.

Nest Mongolia NGO & the Mongolian Fact-checking Center participated actively in the Media Literacy Tracks, and the community continues to share best practices and possible collaborative actions to improve media and information literacy across the globe.
